The Startling Neda River/Waterfall
Neda is a river in the Peloponnese located on the border of the prefectures of Ilia and Messinia. It originates from Mount Lycaeus, flows to the west and flows into the Ionian Sea, between the coasts of Kyparissia and Zacharo. Its characteristic is that it is one of the few rivers in Greece that has a female name. The river got its name from the nymph Neda. The river from antiquity defined the borders of Ilia from Messinia, as reported by Pausanias.
