Definitely, this is not a photographer’s “About me” page that would someone expect. I did not grow up having photography in mind in every day basis and it was never my main occupation.

Let’s say that from a young age, I was observing other’s photographers work admiring what they could possibly do but I never got into it. I never followed the process of learning how to take a good picture nor even learning what the basic rules are.

Everything changed during the last 7 years. My involvement with photography started actively when two friends and I founded a music web site. In the beginning, we did not have anyone going to take pictures of the music bands when we interviewed them or when we had to cover a live concert.

I took over this demanding role without having any previous professional experience.

And now what? The mistakes were countless and the disappointment was great. This experience of taking good pictures without knowing even the basics got me into the process of starting thinking as a photographer.

I started experimenting by keeping making many mistakes but most importantly, a new need was born. Therefore, I started reading several articles and books related on “How to take a picture properly”.  Month by month and year by year, a lot has changed regarding my relationship with photography. The mistakes offered me knowledge and experience, and each time I discovered new things.

Now, after all these years, this whole process of planning, arranging a photo session, performing new ideas and techniques, fascinates me.  Recently I realized that I have started seeing the world in a different way through my pictures and the whole experience that a photographic session carries out. Currently photography is a parallel world that has radically changed the way I think about the world and the nature that surrounds us.

Hence, this change contributed to the need expressing myself more and more often through my pictures, capturing perspectives that I did not immediately perceive in the past.

My activity in recent years with photography, pushed me to the point of creating this site and this “About me” page as a point of expression and exploration through various journeys and wanderings.
